The Conference venue is Senate House, at the University of London's and the adjacent main Building of Birkbeck, University of London at Malet Street, London. View the location for the conference by downloading the map of the Bloomsbury area and transport links.
The tutorials will take place at the London School of Economics campus on Thursday the 9th of December 2010. The host of the Tutorials is the Department of Statistics, London School of Economics, Houghton Street, London WC2A 2AE. Euston, King's Cross and St. Pancras mainline stations are within
walking distance. The other London mainline stations are a short tube
or taxi journey away.
The registration will be open from Thursday afternoon 9th December 2010 and take place at the Crush Hall of Senate House.
The Keynote talks and some of the invited sessions will take place at the Beveridge Hall, Senate House. The parallel session will take place at Birkbeck which is 2 mins walk away. On Friday some parallel sessions might also take place in the Senate House.
There will be two different locations for each coffee break: B02-B04 at Birkbeck and the Crush Hall of Senate House. For those who book in advance, finger food lunch will be served at the B02-B04 rooms, Birkbeck. The Welcome Reception will take place at the Crush Hall of Senate House on Friday evening the 10th of December 2010.
The participants coming from outside the UK and requiring visa information should visit the web site www.ukvisas.gov.uk, which is operated by the UK Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This site features an on-line Visa Enquiry Form enabling you to find out whether you need a visa or not. If you do need a visa it will provide you with links to the forms you need to fill out and contact details for your nearest British Embassy, High Commission or Consultate.
If you need a letter confirming your participation to the conference, then this can be provided. However it will only be issued after a registration and payment has been received, and there can be no exceptions to this.
