Computational Statistics & Data Analysis
Amathus Beach Hotel, Limassol, Cyprus, 28-31 October, 2005

Title: New developments in software for statistical computing

Description:

Modern statistics is unthinkable without computing support. Recent advances in computing and information technology provide abundant opportunities to improve and extend existing software and, more importantly, to introduce new statistical computing environments. This track will cover innovative approaches and new ideas in research on development of statistical software, including work on systems for guiding data analysis with the aid of multimedia and the internet. All the presentations will underline the importance of successful implementation and of user interfaces by incorporating live demonstrations of the systems discussed.

Focus:

Object-oriented environments for statistical computing and dynamic graphics
Web-based interactive statistical educational systems
Multimedia statistical systems
Automatic guidance systems for data analysis
